Housing allowances may be available for those who retire overseas, for the most part (sometimes, they do,) Or in some situations, if they live on a US base especially in expensive cities, or conditions. It is usually an offset for very expensive areas.) Medical benefits for full retirees or disabled include VA healthcare without co-pays, and Tricare for Life (which we have, and it has no annual fee, and sometimes, minimal co-pays, mostly for Rx’s. Veterans have access to VA and Tricare programs, but not fully to the extent that retired military, or fully disabled Vets do. Mr. Hatmama is a retired (about 30 years service) combat veteran, and is 100% disabled, T&P. He also has access to Community Care, paid for by the VA, in special cases, as we live 2 and 1/2 hours away from a Veterans Healthcare Hospital and Specialty services.
Have I mis-represented anything here? Please accept my apology, if that is the case.
