On Monday, Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Neil Gorsuch sided with their liberal counterparts to deliver a landmark decision about LGBTQ workplace protections. And conservative observers are feeling the keen sting of betrayal.
That’s all they got. They don’t have facts. They don’t have decency. They don’t have integrity. They have rage. And it’s usually racist rage, but occasionally dips into struggles-with-latent-deeply-repressed-homosexuality rage, like today.
oh the outrage. lol
that is a sting that will leave a mark for a long long time.
looking forward to trumps tweets disparaging his 2 SC use to be buddies. lol
good for them to show some kind of decency followed by courage.
imagine that.
My god, what is the world coming to when a decent, god-fearing, uptight, panties in a bunch, intolerant, homophobic, deplorable bigot can’ discriminate against people they don’t like in the workplace?!?
What next, having to tolerate a Hanukkah menorah or Muslim prayer carpet in someone’s Satan-worshipping cubicle? Statues of Ganesh or Buddha next to the coffee machine?
This is Murca, dammit, and no decent Christian should be forced to be around people who aren’t exactly like them! The first amendment guarantees them the right to religious bigotry!
It’s a win I’ll most certainly take. However, it’s disappointing that 3 justices, 2 appointed by trump, believe people are not entitled to equal treatment in the workplace.
I also hope this isn’t just a bone being tossed is preparation for the big enchilada of trump’s taxes. I sure hope they don’t rule in his favor.
There have been many appointees to the U.S. Supreme Court who have gone against what was perceived as their political partisanship and legal leanings at the time of their being nominated. Of course, there are also many who towed the party line of those who nominated them.
I like what Erikson said, and I hope he’s right.
All those evangelicals who sided with Trump in 2016 to protect them from the cultural currents, just found their excuse to stay home in 2020 thank to Trump’s Supreme Court picks.
