A group of congressional staffers on Friday announced an effort to unionize the Capitol’s press officers, policy wonks and constituent case workers, saying it was time to give staffers a voice in the workplace.

I’d be impressed if half publicly support that unionization effort. NIMBYism aside, the majority of congress critters do not come from the working class nor get money from them.

Great news, I hope they can make it happen. And as part of their contract they should ask for hazardous duty pay. Not only are they in the line of fire should there be another fascist insurrection, but they have to work day in and day out in close proximity to some of the vilest creatures in the country - elected republicans,

I’m sure congress will soon exempt itself from federal employment right to organize laws, just as they have so many other federal employment laws.
