Okay. I was thinking more of an active intent. Breaching security one step, aiming at the President… another step.
That is why I am not a lawyer. And if it turns out the Secret Service agent was shot by another Secret Service agent, charged to the breacher. Thus far I have not seen any reports he shot the agent.
But that would be a “alleged or chargable” crime, since the breacher caused it to happen.
