Move Congress to the Washington Convention Center and stay in Washington and do your job. If you do not like it, time to resign and let someone else do your job. Just saying. That means you Mitch. Anyway, most red state members will have better medical care in DC than in the red states.

“…the Senate has never taken up any similar provisional quorum rules. If, say, half the Senate was quarantined and unable to show up to vote, the chamber would grind to a halt.

Just what MoscowMitch would be too happy to happen since the senate has essentially grounded to a halt except for the appointment of Trump judges…hence MoscowMitch’s Legislative Graveyard!

Addendum:

RethugniCONS = Super Villains…
Because they profited while lying to the American public that Covid-19 pandemic was under control!

This is a no-brainer.

They should be prepared. Government can’t risk being interrupted right now.

20 years (or more) ago I called in to a school board meetings when I was on vacation and took part in discussions and votes. Over 20 years ago, I taught Junior College classes from the main campus that were engaged in remotely by video/audio by students at 2 other campuses. There should have been a way to have remote voting and participation in Congress implemented at least that long ago. This is not rocket science, Mitch. Nor any other kind of science. The technology for doing this is probably in its 20th incarnation.

Putts. Zero contingency planning in this day and age is criminal, period.

If remote voting is implemented, expect McConnell to impose a poll tax on blue state Senators.

Do they seriously believe that the likes of Louis Gohmert and Jim Inhofe will be able to figure out how to do this? I bet they don’t even know how to work the remote on their 19" tube TV Sylvania consoles.

“But assuming that he’s opposing this for good faith reasons…” You must be joking.

There’s hope. After all, @alanonguitar said it’s a no-brainer. Ron Johnson and Kevin McCarthy are working on it.

I thought they did remote voting already. Don’t lobbyists write all the Senate legislation?

So much for voting by tall half caf soy mocaccino, at least at Starbucks. They just shut down all their US stores except for drive-through and in and near hospitals.

Profiles in courage. This is what happens when you put deferment abusing draft dodgers in charge of stuff.

UPDATE: At 19,648 COVID-19 cases and 263 deaths, we (the United States) have now passed Iran in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases.

Congratulations Trump, for surpassing Iran!

We will.
