Attending Physician of Congress Dr. Brian Monahan on Sunday warned that members of the House community may potentially have been exposed to COVID-19 after having to huddle together in a secure location during last week’s deadly insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
These people really need to be “quarantined.” Forever.

We all saw the videos…heard the stories of the smug repubs who declined to wear masks.
I wonder how many of them have been vaccinated. Even so, they should have masked. Their blatant disregard for others is hideous and typical, simultaneously.
Masks aside, they all seem to be enjoying themselves. Cocktails would not be out of place in this photo. They look like they feel completely safe. What did they know that others cowering in rooms did not?

I was thinking corralled, like made to sit outdoors on the lawn or steps, then they can participate remotely. Damn the weather, their actions should have consequences.

I just watched the video. So many punchable faces, so few fists. And, honestly, I’m really not a violent person. Just near the end of my rope with these people. They are directly responsible for an insurrection and hundreds of thousands of Covid related deaths. What more?
If he was not wearing a mask, can the others in the room sue him for knowingly endangering them? He cannot say that he was not told to wear a mask.

The convergence between Trump’s two great crimes — criminal negligence with respect to COVID, and the serial annihilation of the Constitution to amass political power — was inevitable. Trump will be responsible not only for more deaths among members of Congress but also in the maskless mob and among those charged with controlling them. Impeachment is an immediate concern, but a proper investigation will take down Giuliani and a host of complicit congresspersons. Treason is sadly too amorphous to be widely accepted as a descriptor of what is likely mainly a domestic insurrection. But in the final analysis, Trump, as an ally of the virus, as an enemy of justice, and as a ruthless exploiter of his office to monetize and profit by cannibalizing the public good, is the ultimate weasel of treason.
