House Oversight Committee Chair Elijah Cummings (D-MD) demanded that the White House hand over “all communications” sent on private servers and messaging apps relating to work in a Monday letter to White House Counsel Pat Cipollone.
I can’t wait to see how the WH and right wing media try to spin this one…this is actually worse than what Hillary did, since her server was known and secured, while these folks are using commercial apps that are meant to hide communications. They will continue to block, because odds are there are things in the communications they don’t want us to know, and if they come out it will show a plethora of backroom dealings. We really need to take the presidency and hold the House, so investigations of this stuff can really be done properly, and there won’t be any more hiding of the lawbreaking.
Odds are very high that little to none of the Javanka communications have anything to do with government business and everything to do with personal enrichment.
Everything on this front has been quiet of late. Distractions as usual on the trump side with his dangerous antics plus attention turned to Dem debates & primary race. So frustrating this waiting business the last 2+ years. I’m hoping things will gear up when congress returns and the Dems doing the hard work, like Cummings, are making headway quietly under the radar preparing to throw the hammer down perhaps starting on the 17th or before.
That’s kind of my point, though I didn’t make it clear…they are government employees, and using their position to make money is our business. I suspect that one day it will all be dug out, as most things are, but we have a right to know now how they are abusing their positions…and I doubt we will learn the facts before the election.
And there’s no chance whatsoever they’re gonna be up all night deleting everything, followed by all their lawyers claiming it depends on what the definition of “work” is.
And yet, the opposition to the WH seems to lack the ability to get anything more than a meh from the general public. With the help of the msn most Americans won’t even hear about this in context.
