He’s a deluded pinhead if he thinks he can match wits with Adam Schiff.

That would be fun. “Mr. Schiff, why did your committee not call So-and-so as a witness?” “We didn’t think his testimony would be relevant. But you, of course, are perfectly free to call him.”

What is this moron expecting to do?

ETA: “The defense calls the District Attorney to the stand!” Only in a Perry Mason episode that was desperate for a thrilling denouement.

Given that they need the full committee’s vote to make that subpoena happen…yeah good luck with that.

I suggest Collins also subpoena Schiff’s gavel, the report itself, and his own lapel pin.

Will he be questioning him in Russian or KKK-speak?

Luckily for us, better minds than Collins possesses are on to him.

The things that jumps out at me about the GOP Congressmen include arrogance, anger, defensiveness, fake smugness and rank stupidity.

The rank stupidity part is the barrage of sophomoric behavior from them which surely alerts anyone dealing with them that they exist only to defend Trump and have no intention of cooperating to any extent whatsoever. Or following the Law.

That makes it easier for the Dems to focus.

I love it when the GOP gets serious.

Motherfucker obviously taking his marching orders directly from Donald’s handlers.

He doesn’t have to match wits with Schiff, all Collins has to do is to uses his questions to turn this into a circus.

IANAL but if Collins calls Schiff to testify won’t Collins have to give Schiff some outline of the areas that Schiff will have to testify about?

Interesting ploy to get republicans more time for their “illegitimate impeachment” talking points. Also has the optics of putting the democrats on trial, and of creating a trial atmosphere in what is more analogous to a grand jury hearing.

Posturing criminal.

The entire republiCANT party in House and Senate needs to be forced to give depositions on their campaign contributions! How many of them are receiving campaign contributions from Putin and his minions and how much?

He wants to be a senator sooo bad… and won’t get there this way either.

He’s not smart enough to face off against Schiff. But he’s craven enough to use Schiff’s appearance to get lots of time on FOX and Rush and push his own visibility for his 2022 Senate run.

The comittee should subpoena gym jordan’s jacket.

[“He needs to be. He’s put himself into that position,” Collins responded. “If he chooses not to, then I really question his veracity and what he’s putting in his report.”]

He questions it anyway. Schiff and the Dems have probably put the GOPs ploys into the WOPR Computer which was used in the film War Games

And come out with some Serious Comedy.

Collins is one of those guys who’s genuinely convinced that because he got elected it means he’s smart

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this just hypothetical wankering? They have no power to call witnesses.
