So basically, the College Board just waited until the DeStupid admin got distracted by fighting Disney to reverse changes. The governor and admin are like a dog distracted by the word “SQUIRREL!” and rush to the nearest tree.

“In the discussion, they did not offer feedback but instead asked vague, uninformed questions like ‘What does the word ‘intersectionality’ mean?’ and ‘Does the course promote Black Panther thinking?’” the College Board said in its Feb. 11 response.<

They should have shouted “Look, Florida, over there! A woke squirrel!” at the discussion and laughed as the DOE ran out of the room to chase after it.

And needs work.

Welcome and a bit surprising to see the College Board stand up to DeSantis in FL for the sake of students across the country.

Reminded of efforts in TX some years ago to rewrite school textbooks. Because TX is such a big share of the textbook market, they could succeed in censoring, for example, history, in textbooks widely in use elsewhere in the country. Not sure this effort has gone away, but TX has more extreme fish to fry these days, so maybe it’s no longer sufficiently extreme to be news.

she more DISNEY PRINCESS than JACKIEO.

i have lived here since the late 50s. schools were so bad that when the NASA first arrived here, the men and women who worked there, complained loud and clear about the really awful school system… some actually refused to live in Florida; the embarrssment forced the STATE to hire qualified teachers, etc., it took a while , but gradually, it improved… we had a very good system, for a while…now the ‘parents’ are running the schools…its all about ‘parents’ rights, apparently, the students are just used to fill the seats…we are now back to the 50’s…SATELLITE BEACH is a community in Brevard County, at one time, it was one of the best school systems in the country…their science classes were top-notch…the kids could get into any advanced school they chose… that books are actualy banned in classrooms is unbelievable, it really hard to get one’s head around such evil.

“Diamond and Silk, discuss”

That would be an awkward discussion.

“On January 8, 2023, Diamond died at her home in North Carolina from heart disease.” from Wikipedia.
