They had their chance when it mattered. This is too little too late. I’ve been looking for that one thing that would make me finally stop drinking diet soda. I was a Tab guy then a Coke Zero guy. But now I’m done and there’s no looking back.

Laws typically take weeks to pass. My understanding is the “revised” bill was passed in the Georgia House and Senate and signed by the governor in a single day. The revisions were a result of businesses’ disapproval so pushing it through quickly forestalled more changes.

Yes, they are very late to the game. But now it’s time see where they go from here. Will they do anything – like pull financial support for Republicans who voted for or signed this? Or will they just say a few nice things to try to get folks off they’re backs. Ted Turner owns some media down there. What will he do? Hollywood does a lot of movie production there. What will they do?

I’m glad they are condemning the new Georgia New Jim Crow law, but it is also a little bit creepy in that we are seeing the plutocrats flexing their muscles where mere citizen opinion was ineffective.
