Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s ex-attorney, is set to be released early from prison as a protection measure against COVID-19, according to reports.
On the one hand, he deserves this break. On the other hand, so do tens/hundreds of thousands of other relatively low-risk prisoners who don’t have as many connections, as much money for lawyers and as white a face.
Guess he’s special. Read about 1000 prisoners are being released. Just wondering about the 1000’s more and oh, those kids in cages on the border that have disappeared from sight.
I hope some organization like Pro Publica checks out who isn’t being released from that jail. COVID doesn’t discriminate. Unless they empty that joint there’s something other than COVID concern. I imagine COVID is just an excuse to let Cohen out and it won’t apply to many others.
“do the rest of his sentence at home” is an oxymoron.
Not to sure about that. I never thought Cohen spilled the entire can of beans. He made it look like he did but I’m sure the real goody in his head he kept secret.
I’m pretty sure Cohen is still one of Trump’s friends. Trump would have enough influence via Barr to keep him in prison if he really disliked him. Besides, legally, he gave absolutely nothing up on Trump that could hurt him. He bad mouthed Trump and in return received a lighter sentence. With Cohen being Trump’s personal friend and fixer for so many years, one would think he could’ve shared a lot more than he did.
Well technically News, is just the plural of new, not necessarily true stuff. What about if we just use parentheses when we write it and finger quotes when we say it?
Come on O’Donnell, leave fox “news” alone!
How does a family create a ‘prison’ environment for one member and a ‘normal’ environment for everyone else?
Who pays for the inmate’s food and medical care?
How does one limit the inmate’s use of the phone, internet, alcohol, drugs?
Will there be support programs available for both inmate and family?
