That reasoning is 180º out of phase with 3 1/2 years of “policy” under Trumpism. The reality is Trump reelection optics have sapped FEMA funds intended to provide disaster relief.
Trump will award a no-bid contract to Confederate Monuments by Ivanka to repair the damage, and that will be the full extent of FEMA aid to Louisiana.

The real beauty of the misappropriation of the $44B from FEMA to extend Unemployment benefits is the States have to come up with matching funding which will take their legislatures quite a while. So it’s a Donnie Do-Wrong two-fer. Both programs are screwed.
