Rick says outrageous stuff. People inclined to believe him will repeat what he says without anything approaching criticism or context as “news” for CNN. Other media outlets will report on the controversy focusing on Rick, not what he said.
No one will notice any retractions, apologies or corrections from others on CNN.
Rick will continue his attention seeking with more ill informed, white supremacist nonsense and CNN will continue to enable him. It’s corporate ecology.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday while attempting to post. Couldn’t get it right but you’re right - Gov Justice could make a difference and he isn’t shy about expressing his feelings/thoughts. The Biden team could make it so WV unemployment rate to remain at 0% (think infrastructure) for years to come.

First Santorum is a jerk and an asshole. His job on CNN is to create diversions and controversies.
Second making absolute statements about what the founders thought about and what actually happened, and ignoring the time frame things happened in is poor scholarship.
So our country, and then our form of government has evolved over the decades after the Revolutionary War. For Santorum to make absolutist statements, while ignoring the process of how form, structure, and substance of our government is just plain lazy, and shows Rick the Prick to ignorant of what he professes.
This is what pisses me off on conservatives and religious adamants.

And this is very on brand for TPM. No one would know Biden had an Infrastructure Plan if they exclusively read this site. But the outrage meter here is on full blast on a daily basis. Journalists including Lemon, Cuomo and those on TPM are supposed to report the news. They are now intent on becoming the news.
Gets old very fast. By now, most people aren’t surprised by or interested in what some racist GOPer has to say. The fact that they are featured prominently on CNN and TPM is the real problem.

The picture of the juror at a rally in Washington, DC to commemorate King’s “I have a dream” speech shows Mitchell standing with two cousins and wearing a T-shirt with a picture of King and the words, “GET YOUR KNEE OFF OUR NECKS” and “BLM,” for Black Lives Matter.
Unfortunately, the Defense will use this to show he could not have been impartial. Had he mentioned it during the questioning to choose the jury, it might have been absolutely fine.
