Hidden in the Manchin riddle wrapped in an enigma is the WV Governor. I believe that he is going to be influential in all of this.
Rick says outrageous stuff. People inclined to believe him will repeat what he says without anything approaching criticism or context as “news” for CNN. Other media outlets will report on the controversy focusing on Rick, not what he said.
No one will notice any retractions, apologies or corrections from others on CNN.
Rick will continue his attention seeking with more ill informed, white supremacist nonsense and CNN will continue to enable him. It’s corporate ecology.
History is very important to us all, for if we forget it we will be forced to repeat it. So a historical newspaper headline from way back in 2012
Santorum Comes From Behind In Alabama Three Way
I was thinking the same thing yesterday while attempting to post. Couldn’t get it right but you’re right - Gov Justice could make a difference and he isn’t shy about expressing his feelings/thoughts. The Biden team could make it so WV unemployment rate to remain at 0% (think infrastructure) for years to come.
It’s such a waste of time dealing with stupidly. It’s doubly so when America’s media talks about itself. It’s as though they haven’t enough real issues and events to announce and investigate.
In this case we have media talking about media talking about a media personality. That’s fucked up.
“candidly there isn’t much Native American culture in American culture.”
What is the current opinion on Charles Mann and his books?
OT - but f*cking idiot may have just cost the Chauvin verdict
“Uneducated”
When Obama opined that all Americans should have the opportunity to go to college Santorum’s response was:
“WHAT A SNOB!!!”
First Santorum is a jerk and an asshole. His job on CNN is to create diversions and controversies.
Second making absolute statements about what the founders thought about and what actually happened, and ignoring the time frame things happened in is poor scholarship.
So our country, and then our form of government has evolved over the decades after the Revolutionary War. For Santorum to make absolutist statements, while ignoring the process of how form, structure, and substance of our government is just plain lazy, and shows Rick the Prick to ignorant of what he professes.
This is what pisses me off on conservatives and religious adamants.
Don’t use “birth a nation” unless you know how loaded a term that is. Maybe he does?
Santorum proves every time he opens his mouth how stupid white supremacy is. Everytime CNN gives him air time, they are proving how stupid they are.
The instant I see Rick Santorum on CNN I start a channel surf. He is a lying weasel.
And this is very on brand for TPM. No one would know Biden had an Infrastructure Plan if they exclusively read this site. But the outrage meter here is on full blast on a daily basis. Journalists including Lemon, Cuomo and those on TPM are supposed to report the news. They are now intent on becoming the news.
Gets old very fast. By now, most people aren’t surprised by or interested in what some racist GOPer has to say. The fact that they are featured prominently on CNN and TPM is the real problem.
Right!
My error. It was on Stewart’s show I saw it.
I met Savage in New York once. My five minute conversation with him is a wonderfully funny (and profane!) memory.
How many potential jurors sat in churches and listened to pro-trump propaganda? Any jurors vote? Send political contributions? Put up a yard sign?
It’s a dangerous idea for us to demand that seated jurors only be political eunuchs.
My mistake. It was on Stewart’s show where I heard it first.
Point is, Santorum has always been well defined
“Birthed a Nation” = “Birth of a Nation.” Pretty clear where he’s head’s at.
Here’s another elected official who subscribes to the approxiamation theory of leadership and governance.
And here is what he could benefit from by reading. https://edtechbooks.org/democracy/nativeinfluence
The jurors were specifically asked “Other than what you have already described above, have you, or anyone close to you, participated in protests about police use of force or police brutality?”
The picture of the juror at a rally in Washington, DC to commemorate King’s “I have a dream” speech shows Mitchell standing with two cousins and wearing a T-shirt with a picture of King and the words, “GET YOUR KNEE OFF OUR NECKS” and “BLM,” for Black Lives Matter.
Unfortunately, the Defense will use this to show he could not have been impartial. Had he mentioned it during the questioning to choose the jury, it might have been absolutely fine.
This wannabe Pat Buchanan 2.0 is just 2x the stupid.
