CNN will not air a Trump campaign ad that both attacks the network’s own reporters and boosts President Donald Trump’s false claims about 2020 candidate Joe Biden, a CNN spokesperson confirmed to TPM on Thursday.
What a shit-show. Remember when Obama wore a tan suit, or when he put Dijon mustard on his burger.

Faux Noise will be happy to run it on blast every commercial break.
And then Twitter will have a rant today about how CNN is nothing but fake news, anyway.
Suck the oxygen out of the gasbag.
Someone is not going to be happy about the rejection of his ad, especially when CNN added that it’s demonstrably false.
But he will be happy to have something else to attack CNN about.
Remember when President Clinton ran all those TV commercials blasting Ken Starr, Republicans, and Fox News for his hoax of an Impeachment?
Clearly they sent this to CNN purely so they could put out a press release decrying the network for refusing to air it.
Kudos to CNN…
One can only hope that other legitimate news agencies will follow.
I’m betting the Faux News or Sinclair Broadcast and Facebook (who hates Warren) will have no qualms airing false ads.
To my knowledge, this type of rejection is extremely rare. Then again, Trump is extremely rare. He is the first irrefutably mentally ill president.
NBC? CBS? ABC? Sinclair (LOL)? You’re up.
Only a “Stable Genius” would spend money to run ads on a “failing” network…
I should think the NFL game networks will gladly run this during the games on Sunday.

ETA: By the way, even though I technically live in WI, we can’t get the Packers game anywhere in the west of the State. I can’t even get WI news stations in Eau Claire. True of both cable and satellite.

They knew exactly what would happen when they offered this ad to CNN. It’s part of their campaign strategy. It gives them a whole new ad to play all over Facebook and Twitter that “proves” that CNN is out to get Trump. It’s actually pretty brilliant. Disgusting and dangerous, but brilliant.
And arugula. Don’t forget that the man consumes arugula.

Good for CNN. That’s to be commended. I do hope they keep it up throughout the campaign season, with the bottom line being smear campaigns based on complete falsehoods should not be aired. Period.
Yet, I can’t help but think that if his campaign made this same ad without attacking their company or any of their employees they might have been amenable to taking all that sweet lucre in advertising dollars, false claims against Biden notwithstanding.
I hope I’m wrong. Time will tell.
