Thoughts and prayers. Not. Another button in the borgata gets whacked.

I don’t see why he’d push him out since apparently admitting to a crime makes no difference in the Senate.

Mulvaney weekly admitted a fault. He didn’t defend tRump unequivocally. That’s grounds for execution in tRumpland.

You don’t even have to admit to the fault.

Wasn’t it already reported that he was just staying around until the trial was over? This was expected.

Wasn’t it temporary from the beginning? Is he staying at OMB?

And this is how narcissistic dictators reward slavish loyalty. Thus has it always been, and thus have the sycophants and courtiers ever failed to learn in time.

Welcome to Act IV of Richard III, guys. Not so fun and funny anymore, is it?

Are you giving him credit for consistency?

I vaguely remember that too – although I seem to recall that it was only because Jarvanka or someone advised Aged Orange to wait because it would cause more problems to do it right after Mick’s “get over it” comment went out.

Either way, I am certain it’s not ol’ Mickey’s choice.

How bad do you feel for ol’ Mick?

quickly jumps out of the line of fire after asking

None of this is surprising, of course. Mulvaney was on Trump’s shit list before the impeachment business even started…he just made it 1000x worse for himself. Even worse, he has no allies…Kushner was pushing to fire him DURING the impeachment (cause Boy-Genius though it was a great idea to fire the guy who has all the receipts).

And Meadows has made it quite clear, he wants the job. He has been auditioning it for since at least September(Meadows also being a not very bright guy, eager to become the latest in a line of not bright people who think they can bend Trump to their own will).

Sort of. They never gave him the official title, insisting he was merely “Acting Chief of Staff”.

And I seriously doubt he stays at OMB, either. OMB is the office that declared Trump broke the actual law by withholding the money appropriated by Congress.

He’ll lay low for a year or two, then pop back up in South Carolina and try to regain his House seat.

If consistently being a “Malignantly Narcissistic Asshole” counts, then YES!

Okay, I’ll bite: do you feel as badly for Mick as I do?

He was just being kept for the purpose of bolstering a claim of “presidential privilege” while the impeachment was going on. Now Trump thinks he’s exonerated, he DGAF.
