I want to say that if “I” were Sandmann’s parents (either one) “I” would be suing the school.
THERE WERE SCHOOL OFFICIALS at those steps while the whole thing was going on. The school officials should have removed their charges – the students – from that black activist group (can’t remember their name now, but THEY were the ones making most if not all of the trouble ETA were they the Black Israelites?) and the Native American man.
The SCHOOL did not take care of those students.
The school ‘cleared’ the students? The proctors should have been fired.
And I say this as a person who had parochial Catholic education. The nuns would’ve beat the CRAP out of me for being involved in anything like this. Either the proctors were not near enough to their charges OR they thought the confrontation was just peachy. Either way they FAILED to protect their charges. This will follow Sandmann for the rest of his life.
Who know, maybe he got enough MONEY to attend Harvard but if they are kicking people out now for Facebook posts I doubt they would accept him. Just because. Harvard may ‘be’ a bastion of white privilege but they don’t want to be SEEN as a bastion of white privilege.
What fine parents this one has - sending him to an expensive christain school, sending him off to DC to protest women’s reproductive rights, defending his racism and taunting behavior, and now teaching him that he can sue his way to wealth and profit.
Like George Zimmerman. I’ve lost count of the number of times since he murdered Trayvon Martin that his name kept coming up in the news for run-ins with the law. No one was surprised by that. That flaming asshole is litigious like the Sandmanns–but even slimier than they. He’s actually suing the family of his victim. I don’t believe in an afterlife but I’d make an exception for some people and allow that there is a hell waiting for them.
