The most memorable part for me was the realisation that the audience was surprised. That’s the whole banana, folks. That’s a big part of why we’re here.
“He’s probably lying the whole time, and he hasn’t worked in the white house, but ACCESS!!!”
Then there is hope for us as a species.
If you put it that way, I suppose.
This is only surprising if your assumptions about CNN include they value the truth above ratings.
CNN is perhaps the most egregious of the Media Whores, because they took to the Les Moonves Principle to heart even more than CBS. Their terror of the right-wing is palpable, and as expected, rather than headlining “Lewandowski caught in lie” (which he was and baldly so), they prefer “combative” and “frustrated Democrats” to help out this sack of shit.
Trump is right. CNN sucks. (I feel sick admitting this).
Show business
Why does CNN have some sort of sick fascination with Lewandowski? They hired him early on as a regular contributor, then pushed him out the door.
Now they’re still welcoming him with open arms? Unbelievable. Does he have a sister who works there?
Your parents were neither Republicans neither right-wingers. They accepted the difference between basic right and wrong and passed that along. Good for them and a worthy legacy.
I logged in so I could like this comment.
The word is entertainment. To be fair there’s nobody within this administration or acting as a surrogate who’s more honest. If your model involves saying there are two viewpoints and having interviewees from both of them, you’re compelled to have liars on the show. Personally I think they need a new model because this is pretty much the equivalent of building unsafe cars or calculators that say 2 + 2 = 5. It’s bad for the society.
CNN did not immediately respond to request for an explanation as to the booking decision.
How about
We’re media whores who will do anything for higher ratings and to make a buck .
Where TV news went after they started chasing ratings and advertising dollars
Us geezers remember a time when the news didn’t have to turn a profit and could be objective
I make sure to log in several times a day. It’s gaming the system, but the bonus points earned in the TPM Merchadise Loyalty Program® are worth the trouble.
Mr. Lewandowski is one of those political celebrities…Mr. Santorum is another…that triggers a change-of-channel for me. I juts can’t tolerate even the sound of their voices let alone the permanent smirks on their faces. As to Mr. l., a horrible, horrible man who doesn’t deserve a platform for his pronouncements anymore than a neo-Nazi or a white nationalist. Regarding CNN, I guess you have to take the good with the bad sometimes.
Lewandowski may not have an obligation to be honest but his boss does and he ignores it routinely.
Liars, all of 'em.
They have no shame
But I did like the way that lawyer skewered Cory.
Since the democrats on the Judiciary committee cannot seem to ask pointed and necessary questions, they should let that lawyer do it. He knew what his job was and the politicians did not. They flubbed it badly.
And “our argument” is precisely what? Go ahead and find more than one media outlet that hasn’t applied the Les Moonves Principle to any actor of this rotten administration. When people start parsing out their favorite outlets as “well, not all…”, it dilutes the serious deficiencies of all national media and their collective failure to figure out how to deal with the Human Pustule in the White House to the point of being meaningless.
I imagine that Chris Cuomo would’ve loved to have had Corey on last night, if he wasn’t going through concussion protocols from the battering he took from Barry Berke.
“I like the cut of your jib, young man.”
- Jeff Zucker to Corey, minutes after false testimony
Lewandowski is the perfect representation of the Trump cultist.
CNN is the perfect avatar of the morally bankrupt media.
America may not deserve anything better.
