First: Manchin is NOT a “centrist” Democrat.

Second: If Dems could’ve learned just one thing from evil reptile McTurtle it would be that changing the “rules” willy-nilly is fair game. That’s why they should Just. Fucking. Do It.™

It’s maddening to watch them squander the last best hope of saving the Republic just to be whatever the hell they’re pretending to be.

Sinema’s support has cratered to around 30% in AZ, so I wonder if she’s blinking now.

Let’s get this legislation passed. Let’s stop fucking around. Every additional hour, the fascists get more gleeful.

But how’s she doing with Republicans? That’s my fear.

I share your ire…however, don’t they need Manchin and Sinema to vote on the carve out?

The rest of the party has no magic wand to make this happen.

It NEEDS to happen, but it’s still an annoying dance that must be done.

Sigh

I doubt she’s doing close to well enough among R’s to win re-election.

As the only unifying theme of today’s GOP is irrational hatred of all Democrats, Repugs may say in polls they like her but she knows full well that none of them will ever vote for her.

I to put another way, even Sinema has to know today Repugs will never vote for a gay woman.

The fucking messaging has been below horrible. Sinema is in Vidkun Quisling Territory right now, except our communication outlets are treating her like some air-brained sit-com star.

It’s chauvinistic, sure.

But Sinema has the potential to be worse than that.

THAT’S the harm of sexism. If people** laid off that, then they would focus on the existential harm Sinema can do, male or female.

**males, usually…who lie awake at night conjuring up new ways to wisecrack women

Is she even gay?

She claims to be Bi.

Bisexual or gay. It’s hard to get a straight answer from her on anything. No pun intended

I was in WV last weekend and there remains many, many Trump signs, usually on the junk-filled lawns of the saddest, most impoverished, trailer homes. It’s their new Confederate flag. Good for Clyburn for calling out WV’s past.

The voting rights bills are really critical to the future of our democracy, and every Democrat in the Senate has to understand that. If Manchin and Sinema can’t get behind the bills and allow the filibuster to be cracked, even a little, to pass them, then there’s nothing the Democrats can do, except work hard to elect Democrats who will pass the bills into Congress. Dumping on them and allowing Republicans to take over won’t fix things…electing more Democrats who will stand for democracy is the only chance.

And, electing Democrats also gets around the threat of Republicans trashing the filibuster…they are going to do it for whatever they want to do, they only care about power, so holding back on the filibuster doesn’t make any sense now. We have one path out of this, and it requires making sure Republicans don’t regain power.

Hell, I still have a neighbor up the road a piece that’s flying her T**** 2020 flag outside her house. Was disappointed when the straight line wind storm came through here last month that the damned thing survived, despite the winds being strong enough to uproot trees more than a foot in diameter.

As usual with Sinema, that may have just been an attention getting ploy.

I really have no idea if Sinema is bisexual, but she certainly is queer. (Pun intended.)

The Senate could use fifty just like House Majority Whip James Clyburn.

The reason the federal courts are all in with Republicans blocking Black people from voting is because Moscow Mitch amended the filibuster making it inapplicable to Supreme Court nominee conformations.

Hope you’re right.
