Clyburn Delivers Emotional Biden Endorsement Before SC Primary

Former Vice President Joe Biden won an endorsement from Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) Wednesday, a critical player in a state Biden dearly wants to win.

Good Luck to Joe. I’m voting for him. I agree with Mayor Pete. If you think we saw disunity for the past four years with Trump, wait until it’s Bernie and Trump if the former gets the nomination. I don’t believe the youth will truly turn out number wise again. I don’t believe Bernie can survive Trump without the dollars that Bloomberg has committed to for the front candidate; Bernie’s campaign manager said that Bernie won’t take any money from Bloomberg if he is the nominee as if the playing field is level with Trump. Idiots. They will get us all “killed” if Bernie and his magical mystery tour carpet ride starts up.

Vote blue no matter who! No Purity, No Ageism, No Bigotry, No Misogyny, No Sniveling. Our Republic depends upon it.

But it also revealed a deeper trend: namely, the steps Trump has taken to shield the public from intelligence that could be politically damaging for him, and keep the flow of information coming out of the agencies firmly under his control.

A democracy cannot survive without a free flow of facts and reliable information.

Unity can take a hike. The GOP needs to be burned to the ground.

If we’re at another inflection point, I sure hope we’re about to go concave up with Biden rather than concave down with Sanders.

Is Joe Biden running to be President of South Carolina? I think this is the first state where he’s actually campaigned.

:heart::orange_heart::heart::green_heart::heart::blue_heart::heart::purple_heart::heart:
Because you deserve way more than just one for that.

Hopefully the Bernie Bros won’t feel the need to go after Clyburn. Joe Biden has built up good will with that community. Bernie has built up good will with the Sandinistas and the Castro clan. Which is more likely to help you get elected in November?

My dislike for Sanders is profound. But I would vote for him in the General.

Now, check out the reaction of the Bernie-ists:

A. Thank you

B. Vitriol

“The Youth” NEVER turn out in the General Election.

In 1972 George McGovern was counting on all the newly able to vote 18-20 year-olds to come out in droves and vote for him along with the 21-29 year-olds. It didn’t happen.
Only about 35% of the eligible 18-24 voters bothered to vote.
Even in 2018, only 33% of 18-24 voters bothered to show up. Compare that to the 65% of voters over the age of 65 who voted (and consistently do, election after election.)
Relying on “The Youth Vote” is a pipe dream that has NEVER materialized for ANY candidate.
Overall, America’s youngest voters have moved towards less engagement over time, as 18- through 24-year-olds’ voting rates dropped from 50.9 percent in 1964 to 33.0 percent in 2018.
Even in 2008 with Obama it only peaked at 42%, then rapidly fell off in later elections.

Since most of Bernie’s support is with the 18-24 year old crowd, he is doomed in the General Election.

Stats don’t lie.

Hear! Hear!
We’re in a primary fight but we’re also in a race against time and ten months is practically a political eternity. The breakneck pace Trump is moving to destroy every good thing that’s ever been, plus his lousy health makes it hard for this observer to imagine he’s still around this Autumn. And there is no substitute for his cult. I see a day soon when this whole house of cards topples. When it does, whoever is the Democratic nominee is gonna be the next president. The candidates know it and they’re gonna hang on tight beyond Super T.

Thus the push in 1974 by the Oligarchs to “buy up” the Main Stream Media so they could make sure something like the Nixon Impeachment didn’t happen again.

Guess what. They did it. The MSM is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Multi-National Corporations.
Disney/ABC, Comcast/NBC, Viacom/CBS, not to mention Facebook, Google, et. al.

Now Trump is continuing the devolution of the “US Intelligence” bureaucracy into an “Trump Misinformation” bureaucracy that is in service only to his whims and ends.
He is changing it from “National Intelligence” into a “Ministry of Truth”.
This is one of the primary steps that Fascist Dictators must accomplish to extend their control over the country.
NewSpeak is already heard daily on FOX and other Reich-Wing outlets, and is now seeping into the MSM.

Young people think that they have TIME. And that’s the key.

I have spent 40 years among some of the poorest people in Latin America and just about all of those under 25 feel far more optimistic than those over 40.

I would not get on the youngsters that much.

The problem is that people (when they had the power in earlier times when the country had a chance) did not pass legislation mandating mandatory voting coupled with campaign finance laws and an official Day Off for voting **

** and other protections. Our Democratic problem is actually Republican. Their mentality is BATTLE. They like it. They don’t have to be begged to “turn out” to vote. And they fall in Line behind the “R” after the name.

To ask kids to shoulder responsibility for educating themselves of things we should have INSTITUTIONALLY taught them is wrong.

Probably you would get a big “Yes Sir” from me and some others on this site w/r/t Trump’s health.

There is also the fact that the Fourth Estate does not wish to be made into Trump’s Ministry of “Truth”, in my opinion.

Bernie Sanders’ wife went on Russian TV to explain why open primaries — like the SC Democratic primary on Saturday — are more “democratic” because they allow REPUBLICANS to vote for who the Democratic nominee should be. Sorry, Jane — THIS IS JUST WRONG
