Ugh. He had no chance, but I wanted him to be in debates pounding the climate crisis.
A voice of reason and not an egomaniac to hang in there no matter what. I’m sad but not surprised.
Climate change seems to be an after thought to the rest of the candidates. Keep going the way we are and soon we won’t need elections because we won’t be able to live here.
He should be a serious contender for VP.
Unfortunately, climate change has to take a back seat to getting Trump out of the White House and the Republican majority out of the Senate. Until then, there’s not a whole lot that can be done about climate change on a national level.
I hear you and do realize that getting rid of the racist in chief trumps climate change. Here’s hoping we take back the Senate too and then can go full speed on this issue that we cannot vote out of office.
This is excellent news. He would be awesome as the governor of Washington State or as Secretary of EPA. In 2021.
It’s beginning. Those that can run in other races and strengthen our majority are going home. Meanwhile their passions and ideas got out there. Thanks Governor!
Thanks for thinning the herd, Governor. Your skills and passion can undoubtedly be used elsewhere…
Beto?
Such a class act last night, so gracious and an inspiration to keep up the hard work.
God I miss that.
Perhaps. Or Sec. of Interior. His passions in government might be too narrowly focused to be VP. Being Secretary of the Interior would let him spread his wings a bit more in the areas he’s most passionate about. I seriously appreciate what he’s doing as Governor of Washington, but i also think his calling extends much further than that state alone.
Excellent suggestion…
One can only hope that all the remaining candidates, or at least those who say they care about the future use all of his open source information in the campaigns/ 2020 election.
I supported him financially as well, his message needs to be heard. That and he really is a very classy guy.
This might be one of the areas the next (Democratic) president could turn loose on someone with a portfolio to cross the boundaries of the various departments and advisory groups. Like Vonnegut’s Secretary of the Future, focused on climate change.
Classy guy with a classy bowing out of race to show the way for others.
Gov of Washington or rebuild the EPA, his choices are many.
I like Jay Inslee. We need his voice in government fighting climate change.
Inslee’s in his 2nd term as gov. where there are no term limits. Maybe he’s casting around for the next higher calling.
Thought it was hard for someone like him to stand out in the crowded forum especially since his style is not to be an attack dog.
I’m sad about this - he’s my gov and he’s amazing. It was smart to announce this on Rachel’s show - even in dropping out he continues to call attention to climate crisis. So I’m proud of him.
He’s been awesome as the governor of Washington State now for two terms…
At a minimum, EPA Administrator.
