Clashes in Egypt continued Monday with police firing tear gas at protesters in Cairo, the Associated Press reported. The clashes come a day after Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi declared a state of emergency after dozens of peopled were killed in weekend clashes, Reuters reported. The renewed unrest in Egypt started on the second anniversary of the uprising that toppled former President Hosni Mubarak’s regime, and continued after a court on Saturday issued death sentences for 21 people involved in the Port Said soccer riots last year. Morsi has called for a national dialogue to take place Monday evening, according to Reuters.
