Clarence Thomas could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and his poll numbers would go up.

John Roberts presides over the most CORRUPT Supreme court in recent times. The fact that he tolerates Thomas on his court proves that he is worthless. He can spend all the time he wants trying to polish his turd of a legacy and it won’t do any good.

This should surprise . . . absolutely no one.

As I said on the MM, Fortas got trashed for a lot less.

This article does not make me distrust Thomas. I already distrusted him. This adds evidence.

Do you think it’s bad enough?
Serious question.

Ah… yep.

Bought all the way.

The Montana vs US decision in 1983 was a result of the Montana Outfitters Association schmoozing SC justices just so the fat cats could fish the Big Horn River that ran through the Crow Reservation.
The decision concluded that the river was state property to the high water mark and not Crow land.
This is nothing new.

And if @txlawyer says it is bad…it is bad. But will it be bad enough to get Clarence off of the Court?

SCOTUS has no ethics rules. “Bad” is a relative term. If you live in a lawless environment your criminality is relative. Your behavior is gauged against how it conforms to the local laws and norms. If there are no laws and norms whatever you do is OK, legally. Is Thomas bad? Not according to SCOTUS’ conduct requirements.

We knew he was bad, we just didn’t know it had gotten this bad. Where’s that fig leaf that used to cover Michelangelo’s David?

He perjured himself to get on the court in the first place. Everything about him stinks of corruption and always has. The same odor envelopes Kavanaugh and Alito. We had the chance to impeach and use the ensuing scandal to expand the court and we didn’t even try. Shoe on the other foot Republicans would have done it.

Hold on. You’re saying Clarence and Ginni Thomas are corrupt? Since when?

For what? Anything consequential? Not likely.

Expect some hearings in the Senate Judiciary Committee dragging Uncle Thomas and Ginni for their undisclosed graft, but that’s about it.

No.
