Christie prepped Trump for the first debate. Now he’s just barely pushing back against Trump. Wherever Trump is holed up after the election, he will do his utmost to trash any chance Christie thinks he might have to make a political coneback.
The only thing that I want to hear from Chris Christie is that he will support Joe Biden. Since that will not happen, he remains a Trump toady to me.

Well, tax payers like you and I paid the bill, so it literally cost him nothing.
I’ve been following Kevin Drum’s international/U.S. death charts since he started doing them, and it has looked to me for a while now like (1) America’s death totals aren’t much higher than the rest of the non-Asian world, and everyone else is steadily catching up to us and (2) roughly 2 deaths per million daily is probably where this thing is going to level out with widespread, but far from universal, masking and social distancing.
Per Drum – using the Johns Hopkins data – the U.S. is at 662 deaths per million. The U.K. is at 657 per million and spiking. France is at 495/million and steadily rising to that 2 deaths/million daily plateau where we’ve been since the summer. Italy is at 606 deaths/million and rising in the daily numbers. Of course, the famously disciplined Germans peaked at just over 2/million daily deaths, and they’ve knocked it down close to zero, but rising somewhat recently.

The northern midwest and mountain states are experiencing a surge in new Covid-19 cases.
It is more important that People in cold-weather states redouble their efforts with the onset of cold weather to avoid catching the coronavirus. Mask wearing in public is a must. This is not the time to become involved with activities where mask-wearing and social distancing is not possible. Specifically, avoid indoor dining unless there is ample ventilation.

Gov. Christie, you’re a smart man. You knew what the real experts said were necessary precautions and saw that the White House wasn’t following any of them, yet you went along with the reckless behavior because you wanted access to power. So, no, you don’t get to blame your illness on them.
