Had to add that qualifier since stupid people tend to be wrong so often. I guess the ‘shorter me’ would be that we seem to spend too much time and effort trying to deal with the fears and fantasies of stupid people and it hurts both us and them.

That whole notion of “defense” is pretty woke. The old Strategic Air Command notion of “Peace Is Our Profession” died with SAC in the nineties, when we decided we needed to start wars. We should just go back to calling the Pentagon the Department of War. “Agression Is Our Inclination.”

You won’t. “woke” is code or proxy for “giving money to undeserving black people”. Or, today, “letting them take over universities”. To rural America we Dems are “only for minorities” and don’t care about “real Americans”. . This trope became au currant at least as far back as Geo Wallace’s run for POTUS.

I’ve been a fan of Mr Bunny for at least 55 years and he wasn’t a new character then. It makes me sad that #TheKidsToday (and by kids, I mean those under 30 or 40) likely don’t know him as well as my age cohort did. But then, we only had Saturday Morning Cartoons …

Add into that mix TikTok. Heavy Faux News consumers watching TikTok video of US military attacking the balloon, bomb exploding, etc are demanding that Biden go on tv and explain why he let us be attacked.

If the balloon is a weather instrument, it was launched by liberals.
