BEIJING (AP) — Thursday was a day of contrasts on the front lines of the battle against the new coronavirus. In a sign of hope, the Chinese city of Wuhan reported no new homegrown infections, but in a stark warning for the world, Italy appeared set to surpass China’s death toll from the virus.
Chinese City At Center Of COVID-19 Outbreak Reports No New Local Cases
That key word there is “Reports”. I trust the Chinese government about as much as I trust Trump.
A look back at the Chinese doctor who first sounded the alarm about Covid-19…he was accused of lying/disturbing social order, threatened and made to sign documents to say so.
Meanwhile, in America, Trump denies, demeans, and delays Covid-19 mitigation/testing/response = Americans get INFECTED and some DIE!
That, and I haven’t heard any more about people who already contracted / survived COVID-45 getting re-infected, as had been reported a few days ago.
How sad is this: I think I trust the chinese government more than I trust trump. At least they have some idea of what facts are.
No new cases needing hospitalization seems not impossible for me. Of course there’s still the lockdown thing, so they’ve essentially burned through all the victims’ contacts…
