All the worst parts of our American History are encapsulated in this miserable Administration. The worst of the worst in the full light of day. I hope people are keeping track of them, because at the barest minimum none of these people, Trump on down to the lowliest ICE brownshirt, should ever have a job funded by taxpayers at any level.

A great deal of this is at the behest of entities that likely have done him favors or will. As you point out, his family operates as the idiot’s idea of a crime family. So the kids have their own sway and wants. Meanwhile, he has advisors or cabinet members who each have a particular slant on things and can whisper their needs for his approval from the clenches of his buttocks. Then there are the donors known and in shadows who enrich him. The complexity of everything is beyond him.He is not making grand, thought out decisions even if they are criminal. He is having a good time watching it all unfold and hearing his laurels sung loudly. Meanwhile his obsessive need for vengeance is happening. I bet that is the main topic behind closed doors first and foremost.
So who benefited?
Anyone who got in too deep and needed an out by wrapping them up in a bundle and keeping them busy? Someone close to the Trump administration or a friend of such. Maybe hangs out in Vegas or some place like that.

These people are attempting to create their own bubble reality in which anything they do or say, regardless of how self-contradictory, absurd, or false is “true” if it justifies whatever they are doing (and regardless of how arbitrarily harmful it is). This is the ethical fabric of Trump and the tacky gold painted facade of a world that he is trying to create.

Trump himself has done that for a lifetime. Like a running total, it is constantly building and renewing itself. His lies become absorbed as truths, which enables him to be so convincing to some people. His bad acts, he forgets. It allows him to see himself the good guy. All who deny him his delusion, injecting truth and fact, are the enemy.
Those below him have their own worlds they live in, but he is the alpha.
