Who’s going to break the news to her?

Okay gang, we know we can’t get elected without the supremacist goobers, but we need to pitch the dog whistling just a few Hz higher in frequency.

I guess Liz still hasn’t learned who and what her party are/is. Trying to hide the truth isn’t going to work this time.

I’ve seen the demographic projections and we need to get non-whites on board with our destruction of the environment and short-sighted public policy or in the future we’ll have to get real jobs.

But you are, Liz, you are.

Here’s the thing, sweetie. In order to do that you have to reverse the so-called “Southern Strategy”. When you invite all the racists and bigots to join your party, you end up with a party of racist bigots. As you sow, so shall you reap.
It’s all very well to say you need to stop being the party of white supremacy, but if you don’t have a party without the white supremacists, it doesn’t do any good. It’s like when “Bobby” Jindal said you need to stop being the stupid party. When stupid is what you do, not doing stupid doesn’t leave you with much.

You see. There are many different ways a person can whistle past the graveyard.

At this point, Ms. Cheney, it would be far easier to just switch parties. At least that can actually happen.

She might, possibly, be sincere in not wanting to be the party of white supremacy, but as you and others note, they are in fact the party which white supremacists align with. And this is the reason her pleas will go absolutely nowhere and will have no effect. She’ll get a bunch of “moderates” responding, “Well OF COURSE we aren’t the part of white supremecists! How could she even suggest such a thing. I reject all hatred from both sides!”
What Cheney needs to be saying is, “we are the party of white supremacism, and we need to change our message to either change our base’s views or drive them out of the party.”
Self-reflection not being a strong suit for the GQP, I don’t hold much hope.

The Wyoming Republican Party tried to. Apparently she doesn’t read her mail.

“Cheney Urges GOP To Make Clear It’s Not ‘Party Of White Supremacy’ After Capitol Attack”
Great idea, here’s a step by step plan to make it so.
- Repudiate Trump
- Repudiate White Supremacists
- Any remaining Republicans, of which there will not be many, should start a new center-right party that respects the truth, and explicitly recognize Democrats are their political opponents, not enemies.
The chance of that is, well, remote.

This will mark the day that everything changed. Assuredly.
Just like that time in 2013 when Reince Priebus released the 2012 election post-mortem and Bobby Jindal called for the GOP to stop being the Stupid Party. As we are all well aware everything nothing changed after those momentous dates, and I foresee that this will be just as impactful.

Even more than that to not be the Party of White supremacy they would have to kick out all the White supremacists to include 140 of her fellow GOP members of congress and at least 7 GOP senators.
I mean for Christ sake well she is currently the number 3 GOPer in the House the number 2 GOPer in the House, Steve Scalise once bragged “I am David Dukes without the baggage.” David Dukes without the baggage is by definition a klansman with the hood still covering his face/yet to reveal himself.
