Cheney Scolds Gosar For Speaking At Conference Organized By White Nationalist

House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) chided Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ), who was one of the leaders of the pro-Trump “Stop the Steal” cause that led to a violent insurrection, on Thursday for speaking at a conference that was organized by a white nationalist.

Somebody’s got to address this on the Republican side. Let it be Liz Cheney for a start.

It’s very apparent Cheney is betting a more sane, rational faction of the GOP will hold sway by 2024. If she’s correct her lone voice in the wilderness routine will see her nicely positioned for a run at the Oval Office.

“American nationalist, Nick Fuentes”…they don’t even see irony anymore, do they?

As for ‘European civilization’, aren’t these the same colonial assholes who believed in monarchy and wallowed in the mud for centuries while other cultures flourished?

Who ever thought a Cheney would be the sorta sane one in the room?

Not me. Or anyone else.

I believe that Steve King, former racist Republican representative from IA, spoke at the same conference. And what was Scalise doing that night?

Liz Cheney tries…but her attempts to move her party out of the Trumpist, white nationalist sphere of influence is doomed to fail. The others just love that atmosphere too much.

It’s 2021, and Liz Cheney is shocked, shocked, to find out that there is a white supremacist in the GOP.

She’s not trying to move them as much as get them to shut up about it.

Gosar needs to be pulled from the Congress like a bad tooth.

Baby Dick still votes no on just about every piece of legislation intended to help folks and the country recover from this pandemic. She may be a Baby Dick, but she’s still very dickish.

During a discussion at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) the next day, Gosar said he denounced “white racism.”

And by “white racism” he means racism against whites, or what used to be called “reverse racism,”

I live in Trump country and know lots of Trumpkins. Racism is very clearly one of the top three or four draws of the Trump Republican Party, along with guns, wanting to drive their pickups and atvs in a more heavily logged national forest, and, for the women especially, abortion, at least the later is their excuse for being reactionary. They also really like Trump’s vicious cruelty, especially when its directed at darker skinned women, which draws almost uncontrollable snickering.

A lot of the folks I’ve known for years I used to consider good people. Trump really has brought out the worst. Too many have become what I call “vicarious sadists”. I avoid the Tea Party Trumpkins as much as I can and try to take my business elsewhere. Not easy in a small rural community.

Absolutely O/T but I was up at 2am and thought this is what happened:

Dear Liz:

You won’t change your party back because it’s in the process of destroying itself.

Sucks for you.

I think you’re describing them very accurately. They’re broken, miserable people.
