Cheney Officially Backs Rep. Slotkin In First Dem Endorsement

Please, more of this.

I went to a fund raising event held by (soon to be unemployed) TWA flight attendants. They told us they’d offered to give back even more of their salary and benefits than Icahn was asking, a desperate attempt to save their jobs and the airline. He was intent on destroying the airline and selling it for pennies on the dollar.

A third party run might move the needle some. If not incarcerated, I would encourage TFG to do the same. Like Cheney, he has no GOP friends, just accomplices and hostages.

In years past, I was not a fan of Liz Cheney, but being awarded the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage award was well-deserved. Her recent actions are to be applauded. She fully understands the existing perils to the nation.

“In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger." – From the Inaugural Address of President John F. Kennedy on January 20, 1961

Who has ever started a new party? Nader tried and failed.

And got Shrub elected. Go Liz for a third party, then!

In politics I have noted over the decades… the pol who speaks truth, sometimes even very convenient truth for a campaign, … well that person has a very short political career. Truth is generally inconvenient to politics. Lies get way more spectacular camera attention as does outlandish behavior. Many voters look for entertainment. Actual truth and legislative goals are boring to the general voting public. They pull the handle they’re used to without any thought past “D” or “R”.

I like your attitude, it’s similar to John Lennon’s, “you may call me a dreamer, but I’m not the only one”, etc.

That’s going more than a bit too far.

Count me a dreamer as well.

In this sense Cheney is neither fish nor fowl. And Independents don’t win elections because today it’s all about the Benjamins.

I am deeply flattered. Imagine!

In my opinion (and I have posted this before) I hold Lennon my fav poet/musician even with his faults.
And “Imagine” is the theme I try to live by. There’s nothing weak about being decent and caring.

They are competitive…and, apparently, the victims of Party malpractice

Linz is trashing us San Franciscans and the party yokels just think it’s grand to imagine we’ll be jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge because of Gym Jordan ascending to a chairmanship. Also, he tell us he ain’t gay.

I think Liz’s dad has enough money and pull to make it happen.

As did Ross Perot, but at least he helped keep Bush the Elder from a second term.

Too many Black women often live in a world of hurt not related to politics. If a Black woman reports her child has gone missing, the police response is along the lines of you sure she’s not shacking up with a boyfriend.

Some guy named Abe started a new party 150 years or so ago. It started of well but ultimately fizzled.
