House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Thursday announced that Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) will serve as a member of the select committee tasked with investigating the deadly Capitol insurrection that then-President Trump helped incite.

I don’t like her politics and have no idea what she thinks of her political prospects going forward but I suspect Rep Cheney appreciates the fact that this isn’t just another committee and for that I give her props; that will be unqualified when I see how willing she is to go where the evidence takes her.

You know how you can admire a person but not a decision they make?
For me, the opposite is true of Liz Cheney.
And an observation: McCarthy does not seem to know the meaning of the term “measured” when it comes to responding to some intra-caucus dilemma. He either under-reacts or over-reacts; show him a sweet spot, and he seems to say, Naah.
As much as I’ve been negative toward Cheney, I must give her props for taking this stand and making the statement about the need for the investigation.
And the line drawn by McCarthy makes it crystal clear as to the mewling craven thinking of his party in general.
McCarthy really isn’t the sharpest tool in the drawer is he.
GOP = Pro Criminal.
GOP: Defund the IRS, Defund the AFT, don’t care about an armed invasion of the United States Capitol.

An impending plethora portends.
Every Republican who refused to certify the election represents a legitimate evidence rabbit-hole worth digging out, to plumb their associations with known insurrection-ists and istas.

When they whine about the “partisan scrutiny” just look them in the eye and query, “Remember Benghazi?”
