The census…necessary. But hopefully they can extend the time for getting the information. Approaches such as asking to respond as per a specific date in the past, online entry of information…as mentioned in the article.

Yes…but…

The state counts to be used for reapportionment must be given to Speaker Pelosi and Congressional Jester Kevin McCarthy by December 15, 2020. Now, in fact, that delivery is usually a few days late because it just takes that long to get the data cleaned up enough to count.

That limits how much flexibility the Bureau has in its dates.

People don’t understand how much effort goes into preparing data for analysis until they have to do it themselves. The actual analysis is usually much, much less than the preparation.

Local Census Count Committees have been working aggressively to encourage residents to reply to the census online this time around anyway - so the fact that a bunch of people who might otherwise have ignored the census will be glued to their TV sets, cellphones and other devices for the next few weeks might prove to be advantageous. The only real worry now is the population of shut-in, homeless and otherwise transient or displaced persons who always have to be tracked down to report in person.

Obama’s fault.

In East Lansing - they have been pushing for Michigan State students to make sure they respond using their college address not parents address. But when you read the questions (I already did mine) it asks about who is living here on April 1. Well the students at MSU have been sent home (though some appeared to stay in town for green beer) and not sure how people will answer the question.

Oi. My wife and I are both signed up to work as door to door enumerators starting this month. We have heard nothing from them, but don’t really need to as the situation is obvious.

GOOD

This will provide the Democrats with the pretext to cancel the corrupt GOP 2020 census and replace it with a new census in 2021.

Yes, that should be an option.

Already completed the 2020 census online.
5 minutes of my life I’ll never get back.
Seriously, just get it done.

Went in today to get fingerprinted for the background check to work as an enumerator. It was electronic, you put your fingers on a glass panel. They weren’t cleaning the glass panel between people with anything. :open_mouth: If I do get to go out at some point I’m thinking of wearing a plague doctor mask.
