CDC Official Hits Back At Navarro With Reminder That Trump Oversees Agency

A senior official at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) apparently didn’t take too kindly to White House economic adviser Peter Navarro’s jab at the agency on Sunday.

They do seem to forget that Donnie has been in office for over three years (gag). At some point, the “Donnie gets all of the credit and none of the responsibility” pretense may not work for them anymore.

Barr just sent the FBI over with a bunch of lie-detector tests to the CDC to find the traitor.

Let’s just be straight here. Like a broken clock being right twice a day, nevarro was right on cover-19. His response -pushing an ineffective travel ban - was not the response, but oh well…

But Navarro who is a huge narcissist has every reason to try to climb the greased poll that is the trump administration, and the pigs that got it badly wrong - Jesus freak redfern at cdc, and grifter Azar at hhs, and kushner/kudlow who unlike a broken clock are never right - are going to try to pull him back into the muddy swamp where they all live.

Nothing to see here.

“…but every time we drive down Pennsylvania Avenue, the damn things burn themselves out, even if they’re powered off and disconnected!”

The CDC is filled with corruption, corruption, corruption. Trump would have cleaned it up, but he’s had a lot on his plate these last three years. :upside_down_face:

Silly TPM. Trump’s not in charge of CDC, Obama is.

Be on guard, monsieur. This place is full of vultures. Vultures everywhere, everywhere.

The actual question we should be asking is “how many years before he stops blaming Obama?”

Isn’t Peter Navarro the one who wrote an urgent memo in January about the enormous consequences of COVID-19 spreading though the United States? Was he not completely unsuccessful in getting anyone to take it seriously or respond with any meaningful action? Shouldn’t Peter Navarro consider his efforts a complete failure and sit his ass down?

“We should remind Mr. Navarro that the CDC is a federal agency part of the administration,” the unnamed [CDC] official told CNN. “The CDC director is an appointed position, and Dr. [Robert] Redfield was appointed by President [Donald] Trump.”

This is nicely done – and courageous.

It hits both Navarro and the CDC’s Redfield – not to mention Trump.

And it does so from inside the CDC.

Donnie isn’t a leader and isn’t in charge of anything, his mouth included. He doesn’t even pretend to be in charge. He’s a fake.

Yes, but the time for that was at least two decades ago!

At least three decades ago.

When he was an “Expert” on land use planning.

He is a forking idiot.

His memo was the one thing in his life he did get right…and in the end, he got that wrong too.

I keep remembering a somewhat snarky line from some management gurus, about “problem” employees. “We they that bad when you hired them, or did you make them that way?”

“If there is criticism of the CDC, ultimately Mr. Navarro is being critical of the President and the man who President Trump placed to lead the agency,” the official continued.

Delightful.

This was published in Asheville over the weekend.

I agree that his memo should have been taken seriously.

(I should have made this clearer above, sorry.)
