CDC Abruptly Yanks Long-Awaited Guidance That COVID Spreads Via Air | Talking Points Memo

I guess Scott Atlas and the crack team from the Fox News Center for Advanced Medical Quackery are still hard at work trying to get as many of us killed as possible.

Everyone paying attention knows the highest risk contagion scenario is multiple people indoors in a normally ventilated ceilinged space. I saw the CDC article earlier today and was like, about fucking time. Now it’s gone. What does that tell you?

“In a surprise move, the White House today announced its intent to repeal the Second Law of Thermodynamics. ‘America has been held hostage by radicals like Max Planck and the Deep Science State far too long,’ announced Kayleigh McEnany. As Mitch McConnell announced plans to bring a vote to the Senate floor before Election Day, CDC Director Robert Redfield peed himself, but remained respectfully silent.”

They posted it this morning, and now at mid-day they’ve pulled it. Must have bleached the server.

I wonder if this may not be Trumpworld shooting itself in the foot. This is likely to get a lot of media play, and highlight Trump’s “I know better than the scientists” malignant narcissism. The base loves it, but nobody else does.

It’s been complete since Bush II and the establishment of Conservative “think tanks” like the Heritage Foundation. You’re just now noticing it.

Throughout the COVID pandemic, it’s become increasingly clear that certain types of businesses in particular can pose a serious COVID risk: those that are indoors with poor ventilation where people tend to gather close together. And while most states have now reopened the majority of businesses, Anthony Fauci , MD, the nation’s leading immunologist, is warning that three specific businesses should stay closed amid COVID.

The internal polling must be even lower than Bill Barr’s ethics.

If that’s even possible…

Expect the new updated guidance to recommend that all voters who have been in an interior space where there were lots of people packed in, screaming and not wearing masks should vote early . . . before they die.

Just so their votes for Trump can count.

I wish.

I’m a little old for fighting in the streets but I can still make Molotov cocktails and throw them.

Best wishes to Dr. Fauci who’s obviously in surgery again today.

Also—I understand Trump is on tape to Woodward acknowledging the point about aerosolization. Here goes another media cycle or two focused on Trump provably lying about Covid.

What I find most disgusting is that none of the careerist cowards in the CDC is willing to blow the whistle. Yes he will lose his job, but you are are a patriot when you take personal risks for the greater good.

Ans no, those lame excuses of “if I don’t do it someone else will” , “if I get fired they will bring a lackey that would make things worse”.At this point this are just excuses of cowards, people are dying and all these people can think of are their paychecks.

Remember the Saturday Night Massacre? The president wishes were carried anyway, but by resigning, Richardson and Ruckelhaus exposed the corrupt nature of the request.

Saturday Night Massacre [1] refers to a series of events that took place in the United States on the evening of Saturday, October 20, 1973, during the Watergate scandal. U.S. President Richard Nixon ordered Attorney General Elliot Richardson to fire Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox; Richardson refused and resigned effective immediately. Nixon then ordered Deputy Attorney General William Ruckelshaus to fire Cox; Ruckelshaus refused, and also resigned. Nixon then ordered the third-most-senior official at the Justice Department, Solicitor General Robert Bork, to fire Cox. Bork carried out the dismissal as Nixon asked.
