Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) on Sunday warned his fellow Republicans against relitigating the 2020 presidential election results if they are hoping to gain wins in 2024.
I want to like Cassidy because he says sane things BUT he always couches it with a slam on Democrats. I’m not saying Dems are perfect by any stretch but the ‘slams’ seem to be GOP fear and loathing BS.

Cassidy then took aim at the Biden administration that he views as being “in disarray” and argued that a “positive agenda” will allow Republicans to win.
I have an idea, why not come up with a really solid healthcare plan that’s objectively better than what Dems are doing? Or anything at all about that climate change thing the kids are talking about these days? What do you think?

Cassidy just can’t seem to accept that the GQP has already made that choice to stick with Trump and the “Big Lie”.
Almost by definition, the Democrats cannot be tribal. The coalition is too diverse. Our problem as Democrats is that we have not devoted enough time to work on the dynamics of crafting a strategy to utilize that as a strength as opposed to a liability.
Sometime ago I posted a joke post the purpose of which was to jokingly portray a job interview in which an expert in messaging would command zillions of $$$$$$ because she was noted as the world’s greatest messaging pro.

If I wanted to use reverse psychology to convince people not to get a life-saving vaccination, I would do exactly what Stern and the left are doing… I would bully and taunt and mock and ridicule you for not getting vaccinated, knowing the human response would be, Hey, fuck you, I’m never getting vaccinated!
He’s right. Repeatedly telling your voters that they were defrauded out of electoral victory is exactly the kind of thing that tells your voters that voting is pointless. It tells everyone else that your party is crazy and shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the levers of power. Plus, furthering the Big Lie only guarantees a bunch of Trumpy candidates who’ll lose elections that any halfway sane GOPer would win in a rout.
