Trump will stand there and repeat that U.S. intelligence services are corrupt, and unfairly malign Putin. He received a lot of criticism for the same thing in Helsinki and surely remembers that. And when he thinks he’s been unfairly treated he takes the opportunity to double down on whatever it was he was zinged for. A public presser with Putin is the perfect event to go after our intelligence services again.

It had appeal for emotionally vulnerable people, already rightly suspicious of Big Pharma, looking for a way to explain what happened to their kids instead of just feeling the weight of blame on their heads. It’s wrong, but I see how that happens.
