A week after Oath Keepers leader Stewart Rhodes publicly urged then-President Donald Trump to “strike now” and invoke the Insurrection Act rather than conceding the 2020 election, Rhodes was invited to a meeting said to involve “multiple patriot groups” preparing for the Jan. 6 Trump rally in Washington, D.C., federal prosecutors alleged this week.
In March, Rhodes told a rally crowd in Texas that the Oath Keepers were not in D.C. on Jan. 6 to attack Congress, but rather to protect Trump supporters from anti-fascists.
So, he admits that Chiselin’ Trump and his supporters are fascists?
I wonder if the people who invented messaging and texting realized that they actually created a avenue for those guys one sees at their local water hole. The guys that talk big, ‘know how the world works’, and yet with all this powerful info are still the guys sitting at the end of the bar at one’s local watering hole.
When Trump and his followers wake up and smell the coffee. When they stop being a threat to democracy.
I don’t think that they’ll ever admit that they don’t have the power to keep America White and Right.
Marcy Wheeler tweeted yesterday that it felt like the feds had flipped some people and were breaking through the case. This seems like pretty solid confirmation of her impression.
Well if they hadn’t stormed the capitol it might have been over by now. We don’t see him anymore and only hear from him 2d hand - someone writes his press releases for him.
I thought it would be over because of them storming the capitol. At the time it seemed like a lot of politicians were turning on him but now they have backed off. Once again.
They have correctly assessed that they need the MAGA cult or they’re electorally finished. They have also correctly assessed that they need to eliminate democracy to the greatest extent possible or they’re finished.
