I think the Capitol Police will probably win this case, and get quite a bit of money for it. These clowns deserve to be buried in lawsuits. It might be the only justice they ever get, but at least it’s something.
I like the way “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States” has become a radical, far-left idea…
It was really all or nothing, wasn’t it? Trump pushed all his chips to the center of the table knowing he was either going to be President for life (and destroy America as we know it) or face years of legal reckoning, both civil and criminal.
He still expects to run for President in 2024, and while I understand you can run from prison, his allies have a whole host of problems of their own. And people like McConnell, De Santis, Abbott, and many other Republicans have ambitions of their own that don’t involve Trump.
Just consider this as another bankruptcy for Trump.

This seems like the same legal strategy that was used by Morris Dees when he sued the Klan after the lynching of a young Black man. Go after the head of the organization as well as the perpetrators and bankrupt them. Who knows they might end up being the proud owners of the Trump DC Hotel.
