Maybe there will be openings for animal control officers in the near future for the remainder of the CA GOP contingent.

I would never wish a Republican on a poor defenseless animal.

Good fucking riddance. Don’t know if this double dipper has done anything for his district even for Republicans. Collects his salary and that’s it. Useless fucker.
His district is full of Trumpers.

I get this, but have Democratic members of Congress done this mass exodus in the past?
Are most of these Republicans leaving because they’re not Trumpians?
Are they rats leaving the ship because they know there’s something rotten in Denmark?
I seem to remember a time when the established Republicans were primaried by Tea Party Republicans, so…?

Does not that option tell you just how confident REPUGS are? It also tells you a great deal about how many think of tRUmp, as well as they think his maladministration is doing.

I always wonder about these resignations.

Conventional wisdom tells us they don’t relish being in the minority. Likely true.

But it’s hard to not consider the fact that rich Libertarian extremists use their billions to drag the party to the right, and so departures like this occur when the retreating centrist edge of the GOP leaves someone behind. So, at least some departures are likely to be dissenters who think the GOP has gone too far.

No matter what this guy’s reasons are, you can bet that any Republican replacement will be more extreme, more racist, more fascist, more contemptuous of norms, more brazenly criminal. Each drop out is another step towards extremism.

The only way this is good is if his seat flips. And don’t forget: he’s gonna join the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors. For all we know, he’s being tapped as a pinch-hitter to chaperone a piece of local villainy. You’re dreaming if you think the oligarchs would hesitate to forcibly reassign their employees when it’s expedient. It’s Chinatown.

He’s running for Board of Supervisors? So that means our children are still not safe from GOP malfeasance.

So he’ll still be infecting govt with Republican ideology just in a more localized area, let’s hope the people there have better options for who runs their county because there isn’t a single Republican that is worth having making important decisions for other people, no matter what level of govt or business they are in.
