CA Judge Finds Trump Likely Lied To Court In Georgia Big Lie Case

President Trump knew that data supposedly showing voter fraud in the 2020 election was false, but signed a court document attesting to it regardless, a federal judge said on Wednesday.

The headline was way too long. “CA judge finds trump lied.” Period. End of sentence. Finito.

Louder and repeated over and over, call and response.

@dmcg As much as we want to see the orange thing wearing orange there’s no need for haste. The charges have to stick and they may not if the case is rushed to a conclusion just to make us haters happy.

The Judge says it’s only likely Trump lied, so maybe he didn’t, right?

gee i wonder why he lies with impunity

Preponderance of the evidence standard, so he doesn’t have to go beyond more likely than not. But duh, obviously Trump lied. Bigly.

There was never any serious evidence to support Trump’s claims of voter fraud. But the clarity of Eastman’s remark that Trump signing a new verification based on the same claim “would not be accurate,” followed by Trump doing exactly that — signing a new verification — comes as yet another potential example of brazen lawlessness by the former President.

Carter added that Eastman’s message and other emails “show that President Trump knew that the specific numbers of voter fraud were wrong but continued to tout those numbers, both in court and to the public.”

Also gonna get Eastman in a ton of professional trouble for knowingly allowing his client to perjure himself. Big no-no.

The bigger and more newsworthy headline would be (however unlikely):
“Judge Finds Trump Possibly Told the Truth”

And Repeatedly.

The preponderance of evidence is like an avalanche barreling toward TFG and set to wipe him out.

If this were published on April 1 we’d know it was a hoax. It’s not just lying, however, it’s making up stories out of whole cloth, “Hillary has a brain tumor”, and BHO being an African and orange has investigators on the ground some where in Africa looking into it.

It’s becoming clear that many, many people are going to be uncovering dispositive evidence of crimes committed by Trump, for a long, long time. It is not and will never be particularly hard to find, mostly. The question is, who will break the seal and get the first indictment/conviction? Once that happens, I suspect it will be Katy bar the door.

Unless the GOP takes back the House.

The House cannot legally interfere with the judicial authorities without committing more felonies. Will they try to do so, anyway?

There you go LGB, with your silly sense-making, argument-advancing behavior! Of course you’re right. And I believe @callmeeric was just riffing on that tired old impudence. And I’m also so very glad we’re all on the same team.

If everyone in this country weren’t so lazy we might have a major law enforcement crisis since it’s clear that the law doesn’t apply to Fat Boy, so why should the rest of us be bothered to follow it? If this were France or Brazil, they would have already gone on a national strike until this fat fuck was indicted and imprisoned. Here? We just shrug and belch our empty platitudes.

The drinks are on me after the game.

@tmulcaire Nobody nowhere can put a stop to E. Jean Carroll’s lawsuit against the orange thing though I imagine there’ll be alot of “I take the Fifth Amendment.”

Perhaps he really does believe “The Big Lie,” too bad the sane amongst us do not. I believe this judge is in that category.
