We all know the story of Donald Trump’s endless fury for Georgia Republican Gov. Brian Kemp, who refused to allow the former president to use his state to further MAGA efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. It seems like Kemp now has the opportunity to serve as a roadblock for another Trumpian…
Can you imagine being in a party that consistently puts you in a position of either supporting democracy and the will of your own citizens or instead supporting actual crimes to get a criminal elected.
What a wild world that must be.
Kemp is no sweet innocent, but I think he is trying to do the right thing here. No doubt driven in part by TFG’s continuing harassment.
What should I trust more, a rattle snake or Brian Kemp?
Or rather, what should I trust less?
Is Kemp a MAGA GOP or a LizCheney GOP? Or in all likelihood is he simply WIIFM GOP.
Based on the entirety of his actions during and since the previous election, there is good reason to believe that Governor Kemp values his own reputation enough to resist any illegitimate and felonious pressure brought to bear by his party’s nominee. It’s a hell of a thing, if you are someone like Donald Trump, to find yourself dependent on someone like Governor Kemp.
Which is it, Mr. Kemp, country before party? Country before DJT?
Kemp looks in the mirror and sees a President. He is trying to manage stuff so he looks like a post-Trump candidate.
If (when) the the Georgia Board refuses to certify the Nov. election, will they refuse to certify all the down ballot races, too?
Refuse to certify the Congressional races? Say, in the 14th District of Georgia.
Asking for a friend…
Now imagine staying in such a party.
Kemp.is completely comfortable in making it difficult to vote but once you have voted, he believes your vote should be counted.
Kemp is not to be trusted.
5 days ago he endorsed Trump for re-election and is hosting fundraisers for him.
Wake the fuck up media heathers (and include TPM on this one).
Kemp has done his share of election interference, cheating, and ratfucking. Interesting that this is where he draws the line. Maybe because his office doesn’t depend on it this time.
Kemp before anyone else.
Because he thinks more white people accomplish the hurdles
I don’t know that much about Kemp but it seems highly likely that he understands this issue has consequences for his future welfare–certainly his career, if not his personal safety, and his interest in staying out of jail. He doesn’t have to be a good guy to get that. It could cut either way–he could decide, even after all that’s passed, to come inside the Trump tent; or he could say “There’s no way in the world I’m gonna cheat so that bastard can become an unaccountable dictator.”
Or more concise… Republican
Kemp before anything else.
Or, he could be looking to his AG to provide him cover for not taking action.
He is a Republican, after all.
as members of his own political party… attempt to inject chaos into his state’s election administration system.
Conservatives love chaos. Do you?
Vote the Democratic ticket and stop worrying.
