Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) left an unmissable message for President Donald Trump outside the White House Friday, emblazoning the street and renaming a plaza in honor of Black Lives Matter.
Mayor Bowser is also refusing to obligate the city to pay for the hotel accommodations of out-of-state national guard troops that have been brought into D.C., on the grounds that the D.C. government did not request their presence. So Sen. Lee of Utah (one of the states that sent troops) is boo-hooing about how these brave soldiers who have been protecting D.C. are being kicked out of their hotels. Why are they not all being put up at Trump’s hotel on his dime? They’re only there to be his Praetorian Guard. The District doesn’t want them.
Bring in the Baby Trump balloons. But careful where they’re placed, because the nameless, numberless, rankless federal troops who are trying to take over the city will probably shoot the balloons right down.
How great would it be if THIS is what blows his cork, and he tweets what we all know he’s capable of: spewing a vicious, volcanic unhinged rant that shows his every malignant evil (misogynist, racist, fascist, etc) in one epic explosion. Tweet would be great, but live on camera would be better!
I almost lost my lunch when I read that Trump claimed that George Floyd would be proud because of the great economy.
From a Politico story:
But the president took his promotion of the jobs numbers a step further, describing them as a “tremendous tribute to equality” and, in an extraordinary moment, suggesting the data marked a “great day” for George Floyd, the 46-year-old black man whose killing by a Minneapolis police officer has ignited protests across all 50 states.
“We all saw what happened last week. We can’t let that happen. Hopefully, George is looking down right now, and saying, ‘This is a great thing that’s happening for our country,’” Trump said. “This is a great day for him. It’s a great day for everybody. This is a great day for everybody. This is a great, great day in terms of equality.”
