Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi believes that President Trump likely won’t testify before the House committees probing impeachment.
What a twit.
A perfect microcosm of the WH approach.
Bondi is a lawyer. Former AG of Florida. Not a particularly good one, but a lawyer still.
She gets hired by the WH. But not to provide legal advice, merely to be yet another spox and treat the direst legal problems facing the WH as a PR issue only.
This is how they have treated every legal problem for 3 years. As strictly PR issues.
And she is aware of this because???
Now this is a surprise! I was counting on Trumpty Dumpty explaining all his actions as part of his ongoing efforts to save the world and lay the foundations of the Evangelical Church of Trump. so sad it won’t happen.
Indeed and it has, at least for me, highlighted just how corrupt our system of “bars” has become as a result of the country’s shift to unabashed outright plutocracy. The list of people who should by all rights be disbarred, never to practice law again, is long.
With her hire, I bet you this week’s paycheck that there are bj’s in the Oval Office again. What a country!
We were all aware of this. She’s just catching up.
Depends on what the meaning of is is
Can’t wait for Republicans to resurrect this defense. It’s inevitable.
Because everyone knows that Trump is not going to testify.
There is no possibility anywhere in the multiverse, that Trump is allowed to testify to the House. It would be impossible for him to perjure himself (which is Obstruction of Justice), or to contain himself while facing Schiff. He would lose his shit, go into complete meltdown, with a high likelihood of revealing even more criminal acts in the process.
Which would not only be a legal problem and more articles of impeachment, the PR view (which is ALWAYS what the WH is concerned with) would be disastrous.
Another one of those ironic twists. Pam Bondi, once bribed by Donald Trump to drop the investigation into Trump University in exchange for a $25,000 campaign contribution when she was Attorney General of Florida, is now part of the crash team defending Trump’s soliciting of a bribe from the President of Ukraine.
At least she is familiar with the territory. “Trump did nothing wrong, just as he did nothing wrong when he paid my campaign $25,000 to drop the investigation into Trump University.” These people just don’t seem to realize the credibility issues they are piling up.
Of course he’s not going to testify. The first clue was his tweet stating that he was “strongly considering” doing so. Any time Trump says (or tweets) anything, it’s best to believe the exact opposite. Also, too, Bondi does not seem to understand that House hearings are not a “court” at all, let alone a “sham.” That will happen in the Senate.
She’s also trying to ingratiate herself with His Orangeness.
Here’s the “Rude Pundit’s” take on the impeachment hearings! It well worth your time to read it!
That’s the file to use for every Bondi statement that you can agree with.
Predictable. However, unless Ukraine bans the sale of flavored Juul vape products in Kyiv he’s pulling their military aid.
Considering she thought Sondland was the Ukraine ambassador, for all we know she could have meant Trump wouldn’t appear before the House Ways and Means committee.
All women named Pam have beautiful teeth.
