Dems only allotted 30 minutes for Bolton’s testimony. They knew he wasn’t showing up days ago.
I heard on TV this morning that Bolton might testify at a public hearing under subpoena, but not behind closed doors. However, I don’t know if there was any sourcing and haven’t seen any similar reporting.
I think Bolton is enough of a contrarian and loose cannon that no one can predict what he will do or say at any given time.
I’m thinking it might be fun to start tagging comments about individuals with Trebutine® Scores, alternately known as “T®” or “BYE” which will factor various unique characteristics of a persons head expressed as a numerical score.
Each value will be assigned a number between one and 10 to calculate a total score between 3 and 30. It will be based on three criteria:
the obvious aerodynamics of a persons head, expressed as B;
the odiousness of the person formerly contained in the head, expressed as Y; and
it’s spectacle potential, i.e. how it will look in flight, expressed as E.
For example, Ivankatoinette would have a B factor of 1; a Y factor of 5; and an E factor of 10. Thus, B1 + Y5 + E9 = T®15 (or BYE15).
I feel this score will mightily assist bookmakers determine odds when delighted onlookers place their bets on the skulls’ predicted distance.
Again, this is only in the early stages of development. Any suggestions or refinements are most welcome.
P.S. Did I mention that all sanctioned Trebutine® events now have a prospective theme song?
The Ds shouldn’t push to get any of the Trump political players to testify: issue the subpoenas and let them refuse to honor them. Under the Best Evidence Rules, the unrebutted testimony of witnesses who have agreed to testify under oath, whether hearsay or not, will constitute the best evidence of the facts and be admissible. So what they have described as Bolton’s statements stand as the truth, since Bolton refused to testify to the facts himself. The same approach should be used with all the other no-shows.
Apparently he say’s he’ll testify if this hocus Judge “clears the way”. WaPo has a bit on it. Silly. He seems to loathe Trump and most of the folks in the White House but is still playing their game. He can talk right now if he chooses. I’ll bet he does one way or the other.
