Bolton Says Trump Took Away His Security Detail Right After He Resigned

John Bolton — ex-President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser who was allegedly the target of a murder-for-hire plot — said on Thursday that his former boss yanked away his Security Security detail soon after the then-official resigned in Sept. 2019.

I don’t give much of a flying fig about the creature that hosts it, but John Bolton’s mustache is a national treasure and I, for one, am in favor of a Secret Service protection detail for the latter.

No surprises here. I’m sure TFG was hoping Bolton would be offed.

Well, yeah - why should he have federal security when he’s no longer employed?

What am I missing here? What are the standards for these things?

Well, Bolton said it wasn’t normal and if Trump knew he was under a known threat and did that, well then. I stress the “if” in the second part but it’s certainly plausible.

Bolton says a lot of stuff.

I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him.

Now that we know there was a plausible threat, given the news yesterday, well, fine.

Sure, I’m not Bolton’s biggest fan either but you don’t leave anyone defenseless against foreign assassins. That’s vindictive to the point of mental illness.

Not to be insensitive to Amb. Bolton’s plight (although I truly am), but how many freaking security details for former Trump appointees, and Trump family members, are we still paying for?

And an idiot’s idea of a genius.

I remember Bolton described as a “suck up, kick down” type of person. He clearly didn’t suck up enough to Trump. And then Trump showed Bolton what real kicking down is all about.

Spanky and his gang didn’t know if Bolts could keep his mouth shut. Nothing like an assassin from abroad to encourage a low profile.

“The relationship between the hawkish Bolton and the somewhat less war-hungry Trump had soured considerably by the time the national security adviser left the administration.”

That’s pretty amusingly stated.

If he wanted his own vice president lynched, it makes sense he won’t care if a guy he just fired gets offed.

Yeah - I too would like to know exactly whom we pay for. And if those previous administration grifters and politicians are now calling for terrorism or civil war. Paying to protect people who encourage mayhem and extrajudicial killing seems wasteful and counterproductive.

Welp, can’t stand Bolton, but I don’t want him assassinated. I will never forgive him though for feeding Alex Vindman and Fiona Hlll to the dogs, while he said only what would sell a book.

And sadly only one of many, many examples. The conclusions one could draw…
