Bolton Reveal Seems To Sway Moderate GOPers Towards Witnesses

These comments from Romney, Collins, et. al., mean nothing unless they actually vote for witnesses. Color me skeptical…a very dark skeptical at that.

OK…witnesses is fine…how about swaying some 20-25 goober senators from this stance:

“full, fair and complete trial”
Sen. Doug Jones (D-AL)

Good to see Senator Jones upholding the long-standing values of Alabama. The Bible matters to his constituents. Turn words into acts.

Not a Never Trumper. 1 to 1 with Trump. Quit because of obvious criminality.

If the GOP hadn’t become a criminal organization this would be the equivalent of the Nixon Tapes.

Well, so far batting 1000

I said there would be witnesses last Tuesday afternoon, I also said that it would happen all at once.

My second prediction was that IF they do, it will go badly and the same thing will happen (all at once with little if any notice) that Trump will be ‘taken out’ by republicans.

Witnesses will delay the trial beyond the deadline for primary challengers to get paperwork in, once that deadline is past these thugs will be looking for a way to save the senate, they don’t even like Trump!

Lord God,
Never have I called upon thee to smite one among those thou hast created, but the hour has come.
Amen.

There will be at least 6 that will vote for witnesses and pray (hard) that it ends there.

It won’t.

Manu Raju astutely observed last week, though, it’s not going to be four. Nobody wants to be #51. They need 7 or 8 or this dog won’t hunt.
So with that in mind, who do you got?
Collins
Murkowski
Romney
Gardner
Alexander(?)
Ernst (?)
McSally (?) (really doubtful here)

It’s going to be interesting.

I expect aides do the paperwork. Heavy lifting is what they do for any senator. And the Senator takes all the credit.

There you go, that’s the spirit of compromise and cooperation that’s been missing throughout this entire ordeal - now, time to call for the acquittal vote!

Miz Lindsey is slippin’ towards flippin’?

Republican senator says he wants to see Bolton’s manuscript

Sen. Lindsey Graham said today that he wants to see former national security adviser John Bolton’s manuscript.

“What we have to do here is evaluate the manuscript and see if it’s a reason to add to the record,” he said.

Asked if he would support a subpoena to get the manuscript, the South Carolina Republican said, “I want to know what’s in the manuscript, yeah, I think that’s important.”

He said the manuscript could change his thinking on calling witnesses.

But then there’s the quid pro quo…

Graham emphasized that if Republicans do anything to call new documents or Bolton, they will also call the Bidens.
