So the question for Bolton right now is if he wants his involvement to be defined by others…

For someone who has spent his life and career among the fringiest on the right playing coy right now is to be expected. So what kind of deal is he trying to get?

Democrats ended up dropping the Kupperman subpoena and will not issue one to Bolton, reluctant to get drawn into an extended legal fight.

I’m sure there’s a reason for this approach, but I fail to understand the harm in filing suit and seeing how the process plays out if you ask for expedited hearings and rulings the entire course of the action. Why is it a given attempts to force testimony via the courts will bear fruit too late in the game, so much so you don’t even try?

He could have testified when subpoenaed… I bet he wants immunity…

OK, so what about the Dems calling Bolton as a witness during impeachment proceedings in the Senate, after the House votes articles of impeachment. Must Bolton testify then, or will it still require a court fight?

Seeing the words Bolton and dangle in the same headline makes one want to barf.

Sorry for the sophomoric humor. It’s the trump effect. Can’t get beyond 5th grade.

What crimes is he even rumored to have committed?

Can the Dems wait him out and compel his testimony when this goes to the Senate for trial?

McConnell isn’t going to let senate Dems call witnesses.
