Former National Security Adviser John Bolton is in talks with House committees about possibly testifying as part of the impeachment inquiry.
Hell hath no fury like a walrus scorned.
Milton is going to set the building on fire.
Shouldn’t have taken the red swingline stapler, Donald.
See? This is very nice news to read today.
Chairman Schiff: We Mustache you a question…
Bolton: You are speaking my language.
This is good.
But, please don’t try to make me like John Bolton.
Let it be sufficient that I appreciate what he’s doing in this instance … if, in fact, he does the honest, right and patriotic thing.
ETA: And if he makes Trump go a little more unhinged and deranged, than I might even smile a little under my own mustache.
Trump picks his cabinet and staff from Fox News like Leonardo Dicaprio picks girlfriends out of the Victoria’s Secret catalog. I think Leonardo has it right, Trump is learning that the Fox may bite.
It’s sad when you can pick the bad guy versus the really-bad guy merely by answering the question “does this person understand the concept of patriotism”. Not whether they always act in the best interests of the country, not whether their ideas for America are good ideas, but just understand the concept.
Trump may be a unique figure in American history in fundamentally not grokking the concept of patriotism.
Yes, and let’s please have him testify PUBLICLY as well. Meanwhile, I was reading in the NYT that many of the witnesses are spending up to 15K for lawyers to help them through the process. While Fat Bill gallivants all over Europe on our dime - and I’m sure we paid for those fucking pizzas.
Bolton’s deposition became much more desirable to Democrats after top Ukraine diplomat Bill Taylor’s testimony, which captured Bolton pushing back aggressively against the pressure campaign to manufacture a Biden scandal.
Must be one of the topic(s) that Trump ‘strongly disagreed’ with Bolton.
As long as the Dems/MSM do not forget that Bolton is a hawk, then deposing him could be helpful if he tells the truth because it can add nuance to the impeachment inquiry.
On the other hand, Trump’s Thugs-R-Us would be screaming revenge for Trump firing and discredit his deposition!
Even worse, we paid HRC for those pizzas, from her chain…
This just sour grapes on Bolton’s part - he’s pissed that Trump dropped the ball on picking a fight with Iran. So now he’s dropping a turd into the punchbowl.
I hate it that I have to rely on John Bolton to make things right.
On the subject of ingestion, I was thinking that maybe WH chefs are spitting in Trump’s food.
“Schadenfreude wore a mustache.”
He so owes us
History so strong. And he knows that.
I think Donald actually is the turd in the punch bowl. Orange Bilious.
I suspect he will be an important witness.
One of the things the Democrats need to do is subpoena Pence, Pompeo, Perry, Mulvaney, and just about any other villain in this case. When they don’t show up, the house should be prepared to take appropriate action. If the impeachment occurs before their depositions have been taken the principals will be hard pressed to show up for the trial in the Senate to defend themselves or the President.
