Bolton ‘Assumed’ Trump Criticisms | Talking Points Memo

Former National Security Adviser John Bolton on Wednesday said that he wasn’t surprised about the backlash he’s gotten from President Trump and former administration officials over his damning tell-all book.

Bolton argued that Trump’s recent irate responses to his book “degrade the office of the presidency” and that it would be unproductive for him to answer “the same way.”

That’s something that all Americans should prize,” Bolton said. “I long for the day when these two-minute hates from the White House stop, but I don’t think I improve the situation by answering the same way. I may be wrong on that, but that’s the way I feel.”

Did they ask him who he is voting for in '20?

I read he plans to write in some other Republican. Probably with the initials JB.

I hate (not a lot now) the other Joe Walsh, but this says a lot

Nope. Sorry. Already pretty close to maximally degraded by the diapered dotard “fucking moron” exhibiting “Jousting Bowel Detonation Syndrome” and “Joe Biden Derangement Syndrome”. He’s already corrupted all branches of government and provided national secrets to our historical adversaries. When the walls of the White House are already coated in pig shit, the only way to degrade it any further is to give away the nuclear codes. Either that, or every new action is just another insult.

Trump’s Jabs At Me ‘Degrade The Office Of The Presidency’

Not to diminish your sense of outrage at Trump’s opprobrium, but the selfsame shitwit degraded the office of the presidency long before he gave you the old heave ho, bunky.

Tom “The Bomb” Cotton ?? They have an explosive relationship, but in the end, they were made for one another, like a plutonium core and a beryllium pit.

Quite the little noticer there, Johnnie.

He’s been unequivocal, at least. You take Rubio, if he says anything rational about the world he’s got to include some slam on the Democrats, as if he’s got to ward off any accusation of deviationism. He seems to think it’s like getting your shots when you travel someplace where they’ve got exotic diseases.

Stephen Colbert asked Bolton last night if he’s voting for Biden because he said he’s not voting for Trump. He said No. He’s apparently not voting for anybody.

He hates Democrats. He made that perfectly clear last night on Colbert.

Good to know Biden has the republican deadbeat dad vote locked up.

Walsh is clear about why he wants the quo back. Mark Sanford…

Bolton is a reprehensible asshole.

But I love it that he’s trolling Trump.

You know you’re scum when Bomber Bolton can take the high road on you.

Boy is it!!! I wanted to reach through the TV screen and tear that mustache out a bit at a time. I think Colbert did, too.

By the way - Colbert has Jon Stewart on tonight, for those who didn’t know.

This mustache begs to be ripped away in as big a handful as you can latch onto. I want patches of raw bloody flesh left behind!

This seems like so much grandstanding. Big deal, he “crossed over” to vote in the primary for the only Democratic candidate. Where has he pledged, indicated, or even hinted that he will vote for Biden in the General…when it will actually count?

Color me skeptical…

He endorsed him in the general.

One might argue that the office of the Presidency was degraded (with regards to Bolton) when Bolton was appointed to a position not requiring Senate Approval (which he had previously failed to obtain)
