RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — After months of touting an unproven anti-malaria drug as a treatment for the new coronavirus, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro is turning himself into a test case live before millions of people as he swallows hydroxychloroquine pills on social media and encourages others to do the same.
Yet another “Reality Shit Show” masquerading as governance, only this one is in South America.
You know what? I don’t feel good about writing this, but fuck it.; I hope this case is lethal.

Yeh, but he needs to die of a heart arythmia, brought on by the hydrology-crap. Have an event on camera. It all needs to be live.
These guys like Trump, and Bolsonaro, and whatever that crater-faced guy in the Philippines is named, are a kind of Hegelian synthesis of criminal con man, performance artist, and death cult leader.
Notice pictures of Bolsonaro: he’s perpetually got that scowling, nasty look that is his failed impression of the archetypal “man of destiny.” And, like Trump, when he smiles, it comes off as a sadistic sneer.
You’re not alone there. But I doubt he’s taking hydroxychloroquine, despite what he says. Same with Trump.
In a controlled study, there are multiple sign-offs and validations for this kind of medication. For publicity-hungry politicians, there are none.
