Virginia Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling (R) announced Tuesday that he will not mount an independent run for governor this year. Bolling’s decision leaves the race to state Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, a tea party favorite, and former DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe. In a long statement explaining his decision, Bolling did not endorse either the Democratic or Republican candidate.
